Setting Goals

“Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.”

I have set off to begin my quest of 100 FACES IN 100 DAYS a week early due to excited participants' schedules. How exciting to have seen 6 faces so far, booked another show, sold some (not the goal but a nice addition) and talked to 3 people about the opportunity. (Corporate is sponsoring a double credit contest so all you Beauty Consultants pay attention to the details) . In Michigan where people are losing jobs, homes and hope on a daily basis- it is a blessing to have a career and a business opportunity that has no territories or boundaries (aside from self imposed)where we can sell and sponsor team members anywhere in the USA. So many women are thriving in this economy due to this opportunity. I truly love helping women to look great and feel better; it is so wonderful to help them to build a business where they can get their MK for a discount and make money to pay the phone bill, or the heat, electric or put food on the table. 100 Faces Challenge

Many people have been asking me the details of the 100 Faces in 100 Days challenge and what I am doing in preparation for this "big event". Well, I am prioritizing my priorities (I know you think that sounds funny but have you?) What that really means is get an idea for what is REALLY important in your life and let your time spent reflect that. I have chosen what activities will help me to start and complete this challenge. AND.... if it does not give me satisfaction, if I do not love doing it or if someone else can do it as well (if not better) it is not on my list!
So here it is: I have a white board calendar up on my office wall with names and dates for 90 days, I am booking into February because any further is not going to happen (cancellations abound after 2 weeks out). AND I don't have time for cancellations! and I am ramping up bridal work and networking and asking for referrals. So far, I have 3 more brides who are willing to bring their entire group to try my services for free and 2 more wives of guys I know bringing their friends and several of my existing clients bringing friends to their seasonal makeovers. It is beginning to really take shape and I hope that if you are a MARY KAY INDEPENDENT BEAUTY CONSULTANT that this inspires you to go for it! And if you have never had the opportunity to experience our fabulous products and a personal skin care regime I hope you will join in as part of my experiment. It is totally risk free and FUN! and I don't know about you but I am a fan of having fun!

Test driving the New SRX

Friday I had the opportunity to drive one of the new Cadillac SRX! Hot car! Sporty, and I would totally agree with the phrase "nimble, responsive driving experience". It is a front wheel drive, has headlights that look like an eyeball and they move! It was really roomy~ my friend and photographer Keith Emmerich who is 6'8" tall sat in the back to give me an idea about carrying tall men around (since my sons are both well over 6' tall.) He said he was really comfortable with plenty of leg and head room. The rear cargo area was really great with all sorts of options for storing and organizing LOTS of makeup and other Mary Kay products and of course all the things that moms carry. Keith came to take some pictures and he had some creative ideas. In the past when we have worked together with brides and Mary Kay events he has delivered fabulous finished product but this was my first time being the subject~he made it fun and set me to laughing and really got some great shots. It is so cool to work with a pro...check out his images at www.keithemmerich.com.
I loved driving the new SRX- It is great in blue but it would be excellent in PINK! Sporty and sexy looking this car has everything a woman could want!

Julie's #1!

Well this morning I shared my "mission" with my friend Julie who is a cancer survivor and she told me about her experience with American Cancer Society's Look better Feel Better program! She asked to be one of my 100 Faces. To honor my friend Julie she will be #1. Then the phone rang- Kim the wife of friend Steve, social worker, non makeup user volunteered to be a "face" and bring some girlie girls to play too! So now there are 5!

100FACES

Well, the only way to have momentum is to create it. So today I have announced my goal to see 100 faces in 100 days. In the past my attitude has always been to attempt it and if i did not reach it then I did do something. Mary Kay used to say "aim for the moon and if you don't reach it you will land among the beautiful stars"

No more aiming- that is like trying. I am going to DO the 100 faces challenge- with the help of a lot of people!

So today I put it on my FB. got 3 responses so far. not bad
Day one will be February 1 May 11, 2010 will be day 100.

realization of a worthy ideal.” Earl Nightingale
