Back in the saddle again!

Well after taking some time off of blogging I am going to journal 100 faces in 30 days. Why? Because there are so many great contests for clients and friend to win CASH that i am really excited to get as many into the contests as possible. my website has all the 411 on YOUR WAY TO BEAUTIFUL CONTEST which ends soon. I am doing a marathon at Salon Bruno in the back room, and looking for a meeting room to accommodate a large group. Tonight we have a 25 guest Girls night out party! Also there is the area contest for $1000 cash just for listening to the marketing plan. 411 also on my website. Stay tuned!

Our first meeting at the new location

Mary Kay in my “life’s mission”. Helping women to feel like they look good helps them to feel better. It is our job to help women feel good about themselves, when that happens then they pass it on to everyone in their lives. When you share products with women you help them to have better, softer, smoother, younger looking, blemish free skin. When you share this opportunity with women you help them to have so much more. In this show case it comes loaded with all the tools to start a business representing Mary Kay.- there are all the samples and disposable items you will need to “do” your first 30 faces. There is close to $350 in retail products in this bag, but there is so much more, cars, Pink Cadillacs , prizes, jewelry, diamonds, trips, FREE trips, graduations, things for your kids that could be considered extras~ then there are the less tangible things like self esteem, self confidence, personal growth, and perhaps the more tangible things like unlimited income and financial security.(In this day and age that is a dream come true!)

Today we celebrated a new meeting location; a professional place we can come and build … this place is to build our businesses to the next level, build each other, support each other- you see as I was writing today’s blog I was reminded that what is the most precious thing in MK to me is each of you. The friendships of a life time, the relationships we develop with our clients, and the retirement accounts that begin with one skin care set and grow each month as nightly our clients wash their faces before they go to bed. So today we celebrated each other, celebrating our stars as we begin a new quarter our final quarter of the seminar year; this is the kick off of our last push to our seminar goals. Today was a day to celebrate my friend Kim who is ahead of me in the 100 FACES race by a good 10 faces!!! And I love it that she is!

Today is the day that we committed our time to our business, our choices to our personal growth, and really committed to not quitting but thriving in an environment that outside our pink bubble is not thriving at all. Let’s do everything in our power to bring back Michigan’s economy but earning cars that are built in Detroit and Lansing. Tonight was about our sisters out there beyond our pink bubble that are losing their jobs, being down sized, who have a husband that may never have a job to go back to, who have bills to pay and kids to feed. Open your hearts to the possibilities that come in the "black bag"; What would you do if you knew you could not fail?

Spring! and The OneThigh Challenge

Sunshine brings colors to the world; the blue of the sky is the most welcome change from the drab gray of winter. As the earth is warming so are the daffodils and crocus popping up in the gardens. If you are like me you start feeling like your wardrobe needs some color and your lipstick needs to brighten up as well. Skin that is winter dull could use some brightening also! That is where a great microdermabrassion treatment would really be great- followed by some extra rich hydrating cream. The right shade of foundation should not look like makeup- so how do you create that sun kissed look without any sun or sun damage? The right shade of bronzer topped off with a sheer blush. Mary Kay has 2 "perfect for all skin tone" shades that are so very sheer that you won't believe it until you try it! That is the wonderful thing about Mary Kay, you always can try before you buy, in fact we encourage that, and you have a satisfaction guarantee too! check out my website to see all the hot new looks and products for spring www.marykay.com/kcameron Did I remember to mention that bathing suit season is coming? Could you get excited about a skin firming cream that not only works but I saw a visible difference in just 2 weeks.

Well, I call it the one thigh challenge; I used the new Timewise Body Firming Lotion on my one thigh.... 2 weeks later I asked the resident expert on my legs (my husband) lol if he noticed. He not only noticed which leg I had used in my experiment he even said it looks noticeably thinner (winner winner) and smoother! BINGO! Give that man a prize! NO, you will not see photos of my 2 legs on line... but you can try it for yourself! It is guaranteed after all, and you have nothing to lose but lumpy legs.....

So what are you waiting for? call me and lets get you into a new look and fix your winter weary skin today!

Planting seeds

As we have experienced our first taste of spring here in Michigan, I have been contemplating planting seeds and gardening. In order for a garden to grow and thrive you need good soil; fertilizer; water; to weed; and to continue to sow seeds if the plant is something like lettuce that you need a succession of continual growth. That is similar to business. Especially when you are selling and building a team. As I continue the 100 FACES in 100 DAYS challenge I am filling my date book with new faces, calling my existing clients, and friends who I have not yet shared the new products with in person and attending more networking events. Yesterday I met with and gave a MK makeover to a new friend that I met at an event that my friend sponsored a couple weeks back. We hit it off right away and I really wanted to get to know her better, you know how sometimes you meet someone that you know you just like right away, that is what happened with Lori. I am so very glad that we had the opportunity to sit down and get to know each other better. She is now the proud owner of a complete miracle set, the firming serum +C and we are getting together with her daughter to help her to have the best blemish free skin she can have. It is wonderful to be able to help young girls have healthy skin!

This coming Wednesday we are involved in a guest program I am very excited about it is called PROJECT STAR POWER: It will be a POWER-PACKED EVENING with three NATIONAL SALES DIRECTORS where guests will learn more about the marketing opportunities in Mary Kay Cosmetics. Guests and consultants alike will be inspired as you listen to their stories and how they built multi-million dollar businesses.
This may be the opportunity YOU have been looking for! I hope you will join us

More Faces in a New Way

I have been so busy seeing FACES that I have not taken the time to share with you my story in a few days! Last Friday, was so much fun! I started off meeting a new client who was a referral; she lived in Ortonville (about an hour from me) so we decided to meet at the outlet mall in the parking lot. I pulled up and popped the trunk to my traveling store. She chose the items she needed, and we jumped into the car to fill out forms and try on the new products. $45 later I was on my way down to my next stop in Troy, right off I-75, this stop was a client of mine who was leaving town and needed her foundation, moisturizer and some other "Must haves" before she left for a week. Lucky for me I had it in the trunk! I love this weather, it is not so cold that your products will freeze, it is not so hot that they will melt so in the morning I load the trunk with everything and head out for my appointments. Ginny called as I was heading to do my first appointment so I was able to stop on my way back south to what turned into my 3rd appointment. :>)..... So I pulled into her office parking lot, pulled out a pretty bag, some pink tissue paper, loaded the items into the pretty bag and filled it with pink tissue- off I went into her building to deliver her order. $100 later I left there for my next appointment. Lunch with my husband. I then got back into my pretty pink car and headed toward Royal Oak, a quick stop to drop off an "emergency lip gloss" :>)) then over to Starbucks to meet a repeat client who is using all the skin care and this week wanted to add glamour. She found me from my website- being a STAR CONSULTANT the company sends leads to our personal websites. Megan was directed to me a month ago. Today I went into Starbucks to have a latte and read while I waited to meet her on her ride home. Once she arrived we went to my trunk, at this point I am feeling like a drug dealer or some kind of smuggler selling stuff out of my car! hahaha! Not really but is is funny... we select the colors she likes and jump into the front seat of my car so she can put them on. Love the lit mirror on the passenger side as an option to do makeovers! :>)) So she LOVED her new look and $125 later she has all kinds of glamour and was looking very pretty heading home to her family! Three more faces and a new way to introduce women to my great service!

Fun Fun Fun

These are some of the beautiful women in my Mary Kay unit in the Rochester NY area. I love to travel to see the women in my unit. We have women in Chicago - love it! Arizona and Florida great places to be in the winter! Our newest non Michigan consultant is in North Carolina. I'd love to go to North Carolina! The world is our oyster! It is so cool not to have territories!

Going the extra mile

Well this morning I started my day in 4 miles down the street; at the BNI group. My guest was there~ the only guest! Sad. The good news is that I gave out 5 skin care survey cards. This is the current way I am getting "new faces" to add to my 100 faces. I must admit THIS IS FUN!!! I love playing with makeup! These ladies I am working with love to play with makeup! How much fun is this!?

So today I had an email message from a MK "Orphan" she needed to replace some products, as it turns out they are very old and discontinued so I told her I would be happy to come give her a facial and let her try all the new products to chose what she wanted. Kicker: she lives an hour away. Well I like driving in my cute pink car, that makes the time fly! So this Friday I am going to meet her and pamper her by giving her an update facial and letting her try all the new spring colors! She deserves it!

So I have a question. "Should I name the car?" Lots of people do that. What do you think?

Where to find faces

Well, last week was a bit slow and I was really counting on Saturday. I went to my first Mom 2 Mom sale at the church of a friend of mine. She is a great lady I met through the chamber, she loves Mary Kay products and purchases them from a lady @ her church. So for the mere fee of $20 and a few hours of my time I was at the M2M sale...
My dear husband who usually gets to spend Saturday morning with me @ the Royal Oak Farmers market came along to help. We set the table with a display, the LOOK BOOK, and drawing slips that asked 4 simple questions: have you tried MK, do you use a skin care program; would you be willing to have a MK makeover; and would you like to do this alone or with a group of 3-4 friends. then of course their contact info. Well, that worked well, I booked 2 shows, and made 4 new clients right there. The young mom at the table in front of me was the daughter of the Mary Kay lady who attended that church. (my friend Jo's consultant) and 3 of the other women I signed up for facials or shows were vendors there and one was a Women's Enrichment Day in April, and training our new consultants. Balance is a very important part of every week~ a worthy goal for all of us~ myself included!

Jennifer, one of my new team members is having fun with the virtual makeovers and her personal website, and having a virtual party online. I love sharing with women who are excited about the different ways we can work our business. If you would like to find out more about Mary Kay products or our business opportunity please check out my website www.marykay.com/kcameron

A month gone by

I am so very excited to begin March with 34 days behind me and report the amazing results. 45 Faces seen. $2000 sold to 29 people; two new team members. 15 of the faces were at the Ladies night out @ Great Indoors; they got satin hands pampering and we signed up some of the women for makeovers and parties at a later date. This week I have already seen one person, one tomorrow, and just booked into a Mom to Mom show this Saturday. Now the dilemma- how do you count a show like that? Well, I am going to book them for facials later this month!

This project began to show the women on my team and in my unit that it can be done. I am almost half way to the goal and have done nothing exceptional except share with everyone my goal; and do a little bit of work. Someone once said if you love what you do you will never work a day in your life! I totally agree!

Thanks for stopping by I hope this inspires Mary Kay Consultants everywhere to take the 100 Day challenge. BTW, I won't quit @ 100 Faces I will finish @ 100 days! Stay tuned I can't wait to see how March unfolds!

Millionaire Mindset

Day 24 of 100 DAYS: Tonight Kim D'Avanzo and I were at the Great Indoors Women's Night out. We say 30 women! Each of us did satin hands and mini makeovers on 15 women! WOW! What fun! I will be helping teach Darcie A of Brighton and her wedding party how to look Picture Perfect for her destination wedding this spring! I no longer want to call this 100 Faces in 100 days- I think it should be a 100 Day Blitz to see how many women I can see in 100 days!

Many of you know I am a voracious reader, and I am currently reading 3 books. One of my current reads is (again) "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" by T. Harv Eker. I had an opportunity to hear Harv on a seminar and to be honest I am always skeptical of books with titles like this. Usually the secrets are to get a bunch of suckers to buy their book, so their "wisdom" falls flat with me. However, since my mentors seemed to find something of value from this particular book, I decided to give it a read. I must admit there are some rich nuggets of very very practical wisdom here-so I decided to share. You may read some of them and say "Yeah, yeah...I know."

So, I am going to invite you to take action.

Read the list, pick two items that peak your attention and take action to incorporate them into your business and your life. For the truly bold, I invite you to make your commitment out loud and to the world by listing your choices in the comments section of this blog or on my facebook wall.

I'll start by telling you my three:

-Grow yourself so that you are bigger than any problem
-The more people you help, the richer you become
-It's time to start sharing your gifts instead of hoarding them or pretending they don't exist

Millionaire Mind Notes -
What you focus on expands: Here is where I will share with you one of my favorite bible verses "if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things; and the God of peace shall be with you" Phil 4:9 (NAS)

Stay as far away from complainers as possible (You become like the 5 people you hang out with the most)
The Law of Attraction = Like Attracts Like Goes back to what you think about you bring about!
What do people get out of being a victim? Attention Kathe's note: Victims are volunteers- put on your big girl panties!

There's no such thing as a rich victim

The #1 reason why most people don't get what they want is that they don't know what they want

If you want to be rich you have to be adding value to other people's lives

The happiest people are those who use their natural talents to the utmost

Entrepreneur: person who solves problems for people at a profit - a problem solver

The more people you help, the richer you become

It's time to start sharing your gifts instead of hoarding them or pretending they don't exist

Poor people make choices based on fear

Rich people believe that if worst comes to worst they can always make their money back

Rich people take educated risks

Poor people claim to be preparing for an opportunity - instead they are stalling. Meanwhile the rich guy got in

Rich people expect to succeed

Rich people focus on what they want

If you want to get rich: focus on making, keeping and investing your money

If you want to be poor, focus on spending your money
------------------------------------------------------------------
Get in the game with whatever you've got

Focus on what you have, NOT what you don't have

Find as many financial mentors as possible

Most people earn within 20% of the average income of their closest friends

Make it a point to only associate with successful, positive people (and remember, use your definition of success)

Rich people hang around winners

If you don't toot your own horn, it's possible nobody else will

Rich people are excellent promoters

Rich people are skilled at packaging their value in a way that's extremely attractive

Leaders earn more money than followers

If you really believe in your value then how could it be appropriate to hide it from others?

Grow yourself so that you are bigger than any problem

If you become a master at handling problems and overcoming any obstacle, nothing can stop you from success

If you are not willing to receive, then you are "ripping off" those who want to give to you

Money will only make you more of what you already are

Get rich by helping others

Get rich and then you can help MORE PEOPLE

Never have a ceiling on your income
The majority of millionaires became rich by being in their own business
When you own a business, you can save a small fortune in taxes by writing off portions of your expenses for car, travel, education, home, etc
Selling is one of the world's highest paid professions
You'll never get rich working on a straight salary for someone else
Rich people live in a world of abundance
You can be kind, loving, caring, generous and spiritual person - and be rich
The true measure of wealth is your net worth, NOT your income
The four net worth factors are:
1. Income
2. Savings
3. Investments
4. Simplification
Rich people take the time and energy to learn about investing and investments
Simplification = consciously creating a lifestyle in which you need less money to live on
Expenses will always rise in direct proportion to income
Know your net worth
To master money you must manage money
Rich people are good at managing their money
Start properly handling the money that you already have
You must acquire skills and habits of managing a small amount of money before you can have a large amount
When you begin to manage your money, you'll have plenty of it

My commitments are 1) To take the time and energy to learn more about different kinds of investments and 2)Create a lifestyle that requires less money to live on.

What will you choose to do?

We are in the news check out the links on my website

I love being being able to help other women to become independent and experience personal growth!

Thanks for stopping and and please share my blog.

the blessing of snow

The weather reports warned that snow was coming. So we busied our selves preparing for a "snow day". The excitement of sleeping in, baking cookies and special comfort food was on my son's mind.

While I understand that people are inconvenienced by the snow – school is canceled, driving becomes hazardous and electric power can be interrupted – I must admit that I was ready for a snowstorm this week. I wanted the quiet that so much snow brings; I wanted to snuggle in front of the fireplace with my current book and my cat on my lap; I wanted to make a big pot of soup and Colin wanted cookies!

My "in box" was filled with great ideas for "snow sales" but my clients were all well cared for because they were home I knew that most were available but also they were all on my books for future get~togethers for 100 FACES. The beauty of working when you work is that you can play whole heartedly when the time calls for that.

Why do I need a snowstorm? What is there about all the appointments and meetings on my calendar that require an “outside influence” for me to reevaluate their importance? I believe that when we evaluate our goals, and live by our convictions we can in good conscience take a day to relax and rejuvenate. Work when it is time to work, BE where you are 100% and play when it is time to play. Follow up, follow through and when the world is covered with a blanket of beauty like the snow we saw this week in Oakland county you can luxuriate in the pure enjoyment of celebrating snow. Live in the moment. Love your life. Know that you are just where God put you to be at that very time doing what you are to do.

I am thankful for the reminders that come with snowstorms, reminders to listen quietly for a moment. I am thankful that my business is not shut down by the traffic or the weather and that I can chose to dial up or down to adjust to my families needs.

It was thrilling to hear from Kim D this morning that her day yesterday, was 7 faces and several hundred dollars in sales arranged around a riding lesson and spending time with her horse "Red". Kim has embraced the concept of taking her business everywhere she goes and working around her busy life. She has balance and harmony and I know that she will have a great story to tell when she tallies up her experience from seeing 100 FACES in 100 Days.

professional developement coach

What I love about what I do is mostly that each day is different. It is always fun and interesting and filled with potential for professional and personal growth. As an Independent Sales Director with the #1 selling brand of skin care and glamour in the United States (Mary Kay Cosmetics) my primary job is to be a professional development coach for the women in my unit and my adoptees. Helping them to step outside their comfort zones and become the women God intended them to be. It is my true hope that by doing 100 faces in 100 days that this will inspire my unit and other Mary Kay Consultants to set that as a personal goal. Mary Kay used to tell us that the "speed of the leader is the speed of the gang" I want to see if that is true!
As a makeup artist and skin care consultant I am having a total blast meeting new women, and watching how much fun they have trying new looks. I think that most women love to play with makeup. I know that once we start wearing makeup we are hooked. Even women who "don't have time" like to have a Five minute "dash out the door" look so they are more polished and prettier. My motto is that makeup should look and feel like it isn't even there so that you just look polished and pretty- not ever "Made up"
So today is day 12 or the 100 DAYS challenge and next week is booked nicely with professional women and I am very excited after this week's success to jump into Monday with more bookings and building past 100 Faces.
So for those who know "DISC" the D personality types will just do it. The I personality will do it because it is FUN- and it really is; the S and C personality types will do it later after I show you it is worth while and give you the statistics. My question is will you start before I finish if you have weekly stats? Let me know! Thanks for stopping by and following along the journey of 100 Days!

Day 11 of 100 FACES in 100 DAYS

WOW! I fell really great! Yesterday we had a blast @ the Kim and Kim Party~ sisters, cousins and best friends! 5 beautiful faces (not counting cutie little Sara 8 going on 19) I think she is going to be my mascot though~ she is just way too much fun to have around!!Today 4 more faces~ my new client Megan from the internet searched for me via MK site and purchased $165. Nice 30 minutes of work... Then off to lunch @ Brio @ Somerset Mall with dear friend Kyle who also wanted to dip into the MK treasure trove in the trunk...

I love Fridays; work a little, play a lot, friends over for dinner and a little vino. Face count up to 24 and today I sold 1 classic basic skin care set and 2 miracle sets! WOW! I just realized that the count is nearly 25% done and this is only day 11!

Starting Over- no not me!

Today's Oprah article that hit my in box caused me to think on this subject:
"If you're dreaming about starting your own small business, take a lesson from these women who took a chance and started over. From an attorney who opened her own bakery to a stay-at-home mom who now gets paid to go kiteboarding, find out how you can pursue your dream job."

You read about doctors who study for years then realize they are in the wrong position; attorneys who don't do so well can usually become a great business person due to the schooling they receive; there are so many people these days, especially in Michigan and the southeast lower michigan area that by no choice of their own are being forced to recreate who they are... That caused me to reflect on just how lucky and very blessed I am to have a job I love to do ie: never working a day in my life! a job where I help women look and feel better. Where my chief responsibility these days is to make women happy and also to be able to introduce women to a business opportunity where there is no one laying them off, cutting their pay, telling them where and when they will work. Then i started thinking about the cost of setting up a bakery; restaurant; boutique; you get the idea- to start a new business there is so much involved financially, then there is marketing costs; and living expenses if you are not profitable right out of the gates... wow,now wouldn't that be nice?! Experts tell us in 2008There were 627,200 new businesses, 595,600 business closures and 43,546 bankruptcies. How about those odds? So here is the Mary Kay story. For the small investment of $100 a person can start their own business. That gives you a starter kit, and everything you need to begin your first 30 faces. That is called a POWER START. Because the statistics show that with that much practice you get better each time and your success rate when coupled with on line, and in person training gives a great opportunity to grow a very successful home business along side of what ever you are currently doing. The overhead is low. There are no territories or quotas. A new consultant can work anywhere in the United States. You can chose to build your team and all this comes with continuing education and on going support.

Support that I took for granted for so many years until one of the women in my unit shared that she began working @ a bridal salon and realized that no one really knew how to serve the customer's needs and did not know how to ask the right questions or how to really take care of a new client. All the things that we had been taught. I am so happy to have a career where I can earn what I am worth, where there are no limits to my personal or financial growth and where on a daily basis I make people feel great! I would love to share more about my passion of helping women with you~ just ask me .... Thanks for stopping by today to listen to my thoughts. Tomorrow tune in for the story of Kim and Kim.

Day 9 of 100 days

I have seen eleven faces so far in 9 days~ thanks to friends Dale and Karin for bringing over their friend and neighbor Kate. This morning I booked 2 more faces and online had a new friend Megan book an appointment from my website. So now I am taking the evening off to make "Soothing Chicken Wraps" like they do @ P. F. Changs. Only mine will be turkey.. Tomorrow I am going to see Kim and Kim and play with makeup with one lady who is a "dove girl" and the other a self confessed makeup junkie. I love it! This is really fun, and the great part is that I get to meet so many new people and they get to try some great fun new looks! I hope that it is contagious and that some of these nice ladies decide they too want to join my team. Speaking of my team~ We are going to make image books next Tuesday @ our meeting, for the simple reason that the old ones have all come true! and I really want a house on the lake! So thanks for stopping by if you and I have not sat down to play with makeup yet please write me a note and let's get together! If you are on my team I hope this inspires you to start your own 100 day blitz. A National Sales Director friend of mine said after her 100 day blitz she changed her whole career path and began her qualification,to become a NSD! Wow! I had never thought of that!

Setting Goals

“Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.”

I have set off to begin my quest of 100 FACES IN 100 DAYS a week early due to excited participants' schedules. How exciting to have seen 6 faces so far, booked another show, sold some (not the goal but a nice addition) and talked to 3 people about the opportunity. (Corporate is sponsoring a double credit contest so all you Beauty Consultants pay attention to the details) . In Michigan where people are losing jobs, homes and hope on a daily basis- it is a blessing to have a career and a business opportunity that has no territories or boundaries (aside from self imposed)where we can sell and sponsor team members anywhere in the USA. So many women are thriving in this economy due to this opportunity. I truly love helping women to look great and feel better; it is so wonderful to help them to build a business where they can get their MK for a discount and make money to pay the phone bill, or the heat, electric or put food on the table. Know anyone who might be looking for a little something extra? Contact me via my website. www.marykay.com/kcameron

100 Faces Challenge

Many people have been asking me the details of the 100 Faces in 100 Days challenge and what I am doing in preparation for this "big event". Well, I am prioritizing my priorities (I know you think that sounds funny but have you?) What that really means is get an idea for what is REALLY important in your life and let your time spent reflect that. I have chosen what activities will help me to start and complete this challenge. AND.... if it does not give me satisfaction, if I do not love doing it or if someone else can do it as well (if not better) it is not on my list!
So here it is: I have a white board calendar up on my office wall with names and dates for 90 days, I am booking into February because any further is not going to happen (cancellations abound after 2 weeks out). AND I don't have time for cancellations! and I am ramping up bridal work and networking and asking for referrals. So far, I have 3 more brides who are willing to bring their entire group to try my services for free and 2 more wives of guys I know bringing their friends and several of my existing clients bringing friends to their seasonal makeovers. It is beginning to really take shape and I hope that if you are a MARY KAY INDEPENDENT BEAUTY CONSULTANT that this inspires you to go for it! And if you have never had the opportunity to experience our fabulous products and a personal skin care regime I hope you will join in as part of my experiment. It is totally risk free and FUN! and I don't know about you but I am a fan of having fun!

Test driving the New SRX

Friday I had the opportunity to drive one of the new Cadillac SRX! Hot car! Sporty, and I would totally agree with the phrase "nimble, responsive driving experience". It is a front wheel drive, has headlights that look like an eyeball and they move! It was really roomy~ my friend and photographer Keith Emmerich who is 6'8" tall sat in the back to give me an idea about carrying tall men around (since my sons are both well over 6' tall.) He said he was really comfortable with plenty of leg and head room. The rear cargo area was really great with all sorts of options for storing and organizing LOTS of makeup and other Mary Kay products and of course all the things that moms carry. Keith came to take some pictures and he had some creative ideas. In the past when we have worked together with brides and Mary Kay events he has delivered fabulous finished product but this was my first time being the subject~he made it fun and set me to laughing and really got some great shots. It is so cool to work with a pro...check out his images at www.keithemmerich.com.
I loved driving the new SRX- It is great in blue but it would be excellent in PINK! Sporty and sexy looking this car has everything a woman could want!

Julie's #1!

Well this morning I shared my "mission" with my friend Julie who is a cancer survivor and she told me about her experience with American Cancer Society's Look better Feel Better program! She asked to be one of my 100 Faces. To honor my friend Julie she will be #1. Then the phone rang- Kim the wife of friend Steve, social worker, non makeup user volunteered to be a "face" and bring some girlie girls to play too! So now there are 5!

100FACES

Well, the only way to have momentum is to create it. So today I have announced my goal to see 100 faces in 100 days. In the past my attitude has always been to attempt it and if i did not reach it then I did do something. Mary Kay used to say "aim for the moon and if you don't reach it you will land among the beautiful stars"

No more aiming- that is like trying. I am going to DO the 100 faces challenge- with the help of a lot of people!

So today I put it on my FB. got 3 responses so far. not bad
Day one will be February 1 May 11, 2010 will be day 100.
